Top notch breakfast!!!! Service and food fantastic. Needed a mimosa or bloody mary for that extra star. Place is clean staff is friendly. Between the 4 of us, we had a western omelette, a Greek omelette, two egg dishes side of ham off the bone (great flavor) and pancakes. The omelettes were cooked to perfection as were the eggs. Absolutely no complaints.

Delightful staff, great food. French toast, eggs Benedict, pancakes & even kids menu spaghetti got devoured by our hungry family

Quick, attentive, friendly lunch service and large portions for the price. I had one of the daily specials, chicken and dumplings. The dumplings are potato rather than drop biscuit. The side salad was crisp but a bit wet. The mixed vegetables were straight out of a can or freezer bag. The half chicken was moist and properly cooked. Solid fare.

as a college student, I didn't know of this place until today. Stopped in & Erica our server was very pleasant to us even when we came off as just "teenagers"; we had just finished a race & were excited. I left her 50% tip, & my friends left her similar. I got the Steak Sirloin for a total of $10 and it was HUGE! it was perfectly cooked and came with side of steamed vegetables & natural tasting mashed potatoes. In addition, it also came with Soup that was perfect that mixed well with the 4 huge & soft slices of bread that came with it. It was a very good deal, the rest of the menu looks like of huge variety & the food is a steal for the price compared to other places I've been to. All in all, definitely recommend! Definitely also will be spreading word of mouth. Only reason why they didnt receive 5 stars is because the woman, collecting the money at the end of the meal, wasn't very plesant. On customer service, you should always say "thank you" or "stop again" and leave a good last impression!

The food was delicious and satisfying, but the service really made the meal! Ask for Carey, she made the meal a real treat!

We just had a nice evening meal. The service was quick. We were seated quickly and had our drinks delivered shortly after that. The menu is large and it took us a while to make our selection. Our waitress returned three times to get our order. The kitchen provided the food in a very reasonable time. Yes, the check was delivered shortly after the food but both our waitress and the helper that was keeping the water and coffee full returned to our table several times. The food was good quality and the quantity was large. I estimate that 1/3 of the customers left with a doggy bag. The food is good but not fancy.

Tonight we went out to eat at the LaCrosse Family Restaurant and I will NEVER go back. For started we waited over an hour for food. We sat at the table over half that time with out refills of pop. Not one person stop to see if we needed anything, to refill our pops or say I'm sorry it's taking so long as we are busy. Also people who came much later got food before us. My one year did not eat his dinner as he was full of bread and crackers as we tried hard to keep him quiet during the long wait. When I went to pay bill I asked to speak to the manager and got the owner. He told me he would check the security cameras as he didn't know what was going on and then walked away. After he walked away he was talking to people and we over hear them say well that had a steak. He finally comes back and said did you need to talk more. Then he said what do you want me to do about it over and over. What poor customers service duh how about I'm sorry about this can I take a little of your bill but no I had to pay the my full bill. Grrrrr so upset!

If you want a down home restaurant with lots and lots of choices, this is your place. If you want an incredible deal with lots of food, this is your place. If you want fancy or exclusive, this is NOT your place. I like coming here when I don't want to cook, but I want great food like home.

Awesome place. The food is good and the service is great. They have cheep prices for the amount of food you get!

I was staying in the hotel across the parking lot from the La Crosse Family Restaurant, the Settle Inn, and I did not want to drive to find something to eat. I went down to the front dest of the hotel, looked at their copy of the restaurant's menu, made a call to order a chicken wrap, and five minutes later I was walking back to my hotel room with the "take out" bag. The food was tasty, and unbelievably reasonable. This place resembles a Perkins restaurant. The staff was very pleasant and I would not hesitat to return to the La Crosse Family Restaurant when looking for a basic, American place to grab a bite. I know my teenage son would be a fan!

Very nice, quick and easy for our three kids to find something on the menu. Our kids are 10, 7, and 6 and getting them to agree on a place to eat is never easy - but they all loved it here! Cheeseburgers are great and soup was good too. Wouldn't recommend the chicken tenders - not the best. Service was good, food good, and great prices. 5 of us at here for under $30!

We came for breakfast and were not disappointed. The prices are great and the food/ service was excellent. As soon as we ordered we seemed to get our food and were constantly given attention by staff. Overall a fantastic place if you're looking for a family diner experience in La Crosse, WI.

By far one of the best restaurants in La Crosse in terms of price, quality and service. There is plenty of variety to accommodate the whole family and you don't have to worry about waiting too long because even when they are packed, the service is prompt.

I think the food here is ok. Prices are great. You can get meals here for 3 people for under $20. Always busy. The tables feel a bit crowded. Breakfast is served all day. The daily specials here are greatly priced. Always had great service from the servers here. Only reason I give it a 3 stars instead of 4 is because food is ordinary, nothing special. It is very similar to Perkins, but cheaper.

Honestly, the food was great, as were the prices. I was just bummed out that our server brought our bill when we'd barely had time to touch our food. And while someone else did stop by to fill our water, no one actually checked on how the food was or asked if we'd like any dessert. And all the imagery of the Pope was kind of creepy.... But yeah, overall it was a good meal close to our hotel.

Service was slow, and the food only ok. I always feel cheated when the kid's mac-n-cheese is the same as Kraft, which I can make at home. Bathrooms are really gross, which makes me forget what I ate and threatens my lunch's staying power. We travel this way a lot, but won't stop here again.

A nice family restaurant. Standard American food with a few items outside the typical American menu. Our order was taken quickly and our server was attentive. The price was very reasonable (I think our meal for two was around $12). I'll definitely return here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Forget IHOP, this is the best breakfast place on the north side of La Crosse!

Knowing what to expect is the key to enjoying this restaurant. The food is very good, basic home-style fare at very reasonable prices but the service is cold and nearly non-existent. Don't sit and stew while you wait for your server to return, just grab anyone that looks like they work there and tell them what you want. They will not return to see how the food is, fill water or check for dessert. The bill comes with the food so you know you will never see that person again. That said I had a big Monte Cristo sandwich with lots of meat, perfectly done and a salad for $6.25. I would go back in a heartbeat and bring a canteen and a flare gun.
